Helen Phelps is a lawyer that works with both our Wills & Estates and Dispute Resolution teams. Helen was admitted to practice in 2015 and gained experience in the practice areas of estates, family law and dispute resolution before joining Snedden Hall & Gallop in 2017. She was promoted to Associate in November 2018.
As a member of the wills and estates practice, Helen works closely with clients to determine an estate plan that best fits their circumstances and their family. Helen also assists our clients with the administration of estates, including applying for Grants of Probate, Reseals and Letters of Administration. This has included making applications in relation to informal wills. Helen is experienced in advising clients in family provision matters in the ACT and NSW and has acted in complex dispute matters.
Helen is also an active member of our Dispute Resolution team. She works with clients to pursue commercial interests in a wide range of disputes, including debt recovery, insolvency and contractual disputes.
In addition to a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science)/Laws, Helen holds a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and Master of Laws from the Australian National University. Helen is a member of the ACT Law Society and the Women Lawyers Association ACT.
Outside the office, Helen enjoys travel, reading and dedicating a lot of time and energy to the care of her two mini lop rabbits.
