Andrew joined Snedden Hall & Gallop in 2020 and brings with him a diverse background in several areas of law. He works primarily in the Family Law practice, but also uses his broad skillset to assist other areas of the firm.
Originally from Melbourne, prior to his admission as a lawyer Andrew worked at the University of Melbourne, where he helped manage the University’s intellectual property, commercial and research arrangements. In 2017, he moved to Canberra to take up a job as an associate to a judge of the Federal Circuit Court of Australia. He has since worked for a national firm in the areas of employment, discrimination and workers compensation law and in the commercial litigation and property practices of another local Canberra law firm.
During his time working at the court, Andrew worked primarily in the family law jurisdiction. This equipped him with a unique ‘behind the scenes’ view of family law litigation and an expert familiarity with court processes and procedures. Andrew uses this experience with the court, combined with his background in commercial and property law, to help his clients achieve the best results possible in both their parenting and property matters.
Andrew holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Music from the Victorian College of the Arts.
In 2021 Andrew became a committee member of the Canberra Region Family Law Practitioners Association.
In his spare time, you’ll find Andrew playing saxophone, cooking or staring blankly at a cryptic crossword.
